Intel(R) 100 Series/c230 Series Chipset Family Sata Ahci Controller

Hullo,

I have the Maximus V Formual which has the Intel Z77 chipset. I but did a make clean install of Windows 10 64Bit.

Sadly I did NOT detect much drivers on Asus website, in particular the SATA drivers for the Intel SATA Controller. In device manager I take listed nether IDE ATA/ATAP Controllers category the following three entries: Standard SATA AHCI Controller.

Without the proper driver, operation and functionality is limited, right?

Whatsoever suggestions where I can download the Intel SATA Driver for Windows 10?

I see yous have an SSD.
Did you lot install Windows in AHCI fashion as the correct controller drivers volition not install.
If this is the instance then a registry change volition exist required and I can guide you with that necessary change.

Yea, I did install in AHCI manner. But in Device director only SATA Standard SATA AHCI Controller listed. Should it not list some type of Intel entry?

I actually appreciate your help! When I outset posted a few days dorsum in device manager I had listed under the IDE ATA/ATAP Controllers heading the post-obit three entries: Standard SATA AHCI Controller.

I went to ASMEDIA website and downloaded their latest SATA Drivers and at present under the Storage Controllers heading I take the following 3 entries: two Asmedia 106x SATA Controllers and i Microsoft Storage Spaces Controller.
Now nether the IDE ATA/ATAP Controllers heading I only have ONE entry instead of the original three: Standard SATA AHCI Controller.

I had opened a support ticked with ASUS tech support and this is the response I received:
�Give thanks yous for contacting ASUS technical support.

Thank you for your patience. I take received reply from the concerned team. We request yous to download the Intel SATA drivers direct from the Intel website.

So jut to sympathize correctly... The Intel Rapid Storage Engineering Driver is NOT the SATA driver? And the SATA driver already installed when I installed the Intel Chipset commuter?

Yes that's correct the intel sata commuter installs with the chipset driver and you don't need to install the intel rapid storage engineering driver, I don't install information technology either. You can use it with a single drive but I think it's used more than with raid.

I had to reinstall windows ten, so this time effectually im not installing the Intel Rapid Storage Applied science controller. I take it, it's the same with the Asmedia SATA driver as well?

If y'all're non using the asmedia sata ports yous can skip the asmedia sata driver.
